S & C Thermofluids Ltd provides the means for test and evaluation of designs. With a laboratory and outside test areas and extensive workshop facilities through the Stobart Division, the computer aided design results can be constructed, tested, demonstrated and developed. The emphasis of the facilities is on providing low cost test and evaluation to suit the available R&D budget.

Experimental facilities include:

• Small scale flight stream rig up to Mach 0.5*
• Adour uninstalled engine test facility+
• Model aircraft
• High flow capacity compressed air system (10 bar)
• Nitrogen/air system (175 bar)
• 4 bar high flow capacity pumped water system
• Hot & cold gas jet test rig (UJFR)
• Gas ejector and pump test rig
• Small scale solid rocket motor test rig
• Small turbojet engine test facility (JPX)
• Water test tanks and tunnel with up to 2m/s flow
