From the aerodynamics of a supersonic aircraft to the suction of a vacuum cleaner, the flow and heat transfer of the working fluid (thermofluids) determines the function and performance of such systems. S & C Thermofluids, founded in 1987 and based in the UK, uses the full range of engineering tools to study and develop such systems.



CFD to Reality

Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
provides a virtual insight into the flow structure, heat transfer and chemical reactions of fluids as they move around within a system. Whilst CFD provides such a detailed insight, it can not replace completely the physical demonstration of such systems and so the company maintains a range of experimental capabilities supported by in-house design and build functions. The combination of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and physical validation of the design function provides the most powerful and systematic route to product development.

Our Markets

S & C Thermofluids has worked with a wide range of customers across many disciplines. The company has worked closely with the MoD's Defence Science and Technology Laboratory, and through this relationship has been able to offer affordable solutions in technology development to key aerospace organisations such as Rolls-Royce, MBDA, Thales and QinetiQ.
