CFD to Reality

Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
provides a virtual insight into the flow structure, heat transfer and chemical reactions of fluids as they move around within a system. Whilst CFD provides such a detailed insight, it can not replace completely the physical demonstration of such systems and so the company maintains a range of experimental capabilities supported by in-house design and build functions. The combination of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and physical validation of the design function provides the most powerful and systematic route to product development.

The company has worked closely with the MoD's Defence Science and Technology Laboratory, and through this relationship has been able to offer affordable solutions in technology development to key aerospace organisations such as Rolls-Royce, MBDA, Thales and QinetiQ.
